INTL TRAVEL BURSARY

Note: Unfortunately, the deadline for all bursaries has now past. However, here are details in case you are interested in finding out more about them.

Thanks to the Sunlight Foundation supporting travel from the US and other supporters of the event a number of international travel bursaries are now available for OGDCamp 2011.

Who should apply?

The bursary is open to participants wishing to travel to the camp from anywhere in the world. If you are a citizen or resident of an EU27 member state and travelling from within Europe, please apply to our EU travel bursary.

The bursary aims to support people who could not otherwise afford to participate in the camp – and this will be taken into account when applications are processed. We are particularly interested in supporting the participation of:

  • Developers, NGOs, journalists and SMEs interested in working with open data to provide value to society through new projects or digital services
  • Students or researchers studying legal or policy aspects of Public Sector Information (PSI) or open data
  • Civil servants interested in helping to start or run open data initiatives – particularly in countries that currently do not currently have them

The successful applicants will be nominated by an panel of leading international open data experts.

How to apply?

If you would like to apply, please fill out the application form by 22:00 CEST on 14th September 2011. We will inform you of the decision of the panel by the 21st September 2011.
